It has good music, the mechanics are mostly clearly explained, there's a lot of depth in equipment and variety in the randomly generated characters and it's got some funny/creepy stuff going on.. What you have hear ladys and Gents, is a super stylized Turned based roguelike. So with that you know to expect to play/die/learn/repeat. This game oozes with so much charm and humor, awesome unique mechanics, while still being super accessible to people that arent hardcore Turn based roguelike fans (looking at you Tome) Very rad funky soundtrack, tons of replayability and devs that are just so amazing and wear their heart on their sleeve to top it all off. It seems like a regular CRPG at first, but the farther you get, the more creative tricks it starts to unleash, the more narrative hooks, and the more incentive to try one more time.If that doesn't interest you as much, realize that one round you might be a Mushroom Kin Werewolf, and another might find you as an eagle rogue. There's a ton of variety to the weirdness and fun of the characters, and it gives you a great amount of replay ability to check out just how far you can get as a wolf wrestler vs a human sorcerer. It's completely worth the price.. A true roguelike, with a better and smoother learning curve compared to almost every other roguelike out there. It's gamepad friendly, a fine amount of random items and a surprisingly good story, something that I always abhorred to see in roguelikes.Well, the soundtrack can be quite repetitive sometimes and there are few character options. Aside from that, the game is superb.. Haque is a game that let's me be a mushroom boy and an eagle. I like that about that.. A wonderfully little roguelike! Excellent for small-scale gaming sessions, and with wonderful chunky graphics - I love the way slimes pop and splat around the scenery! The gameplay itself is perfectly refined, with much of the fat that hurts most roguelikes trimmed off. Great fun!. im not good at reviews but i really like this game. not sure if its worth the 15 dollar price point ( that's probably why less people are playing it ) but it's dopeeee. Finally got all the achievements! Hooray!Very unique game, good art and story, addictive and fun for every run.Totally worth a shot.. This is a quite good little roguelike; deep enough to provide for actual replayability (as opposed to getting bored on your first couple playthroughs), with some interesting but predictable story elements. You don't have the range of actions one of the old school deeper roguelikes gave you, but if you ever played one of the older CGA/EGA tile based adventure games (such as Ranadinn), this is a bit like that, mixed with some Nuclear Throne and some modern roguelike elements.. Really fun so far. Great 8bit graphics. Perfect blend of hardcore Roguelike and a RogueLITE. My only complaint is the terrible song that plays during the first 5 floors.... not sure how a noodly, slow folk sounding song is supposed to pump me up to fight enemies and such but I usually mute the game until I get passed the first boss and the music changes.
